According to CNBC, Anthropic on Tuesday (June 9) announced Claude Fable 5, a Mythos-class AI model available to enterprise customers and paid subscribers. The model is priced at $10 per million input tokens and $50 per million output tokens, double the cost of Claude Opus 4.8. Claude Fable 5 includes new safety guardrails that block high-risk responses in areas like cybersecurity and biology. The release follows Anthropic's limited rollout of Mythos in April, which the company restricted to protect against misuse, according to Dianne Penn, Anthropic's head of product management for research.
