Broadcom Releases Largest Spring Security Update in 23 Years as Advisories Rise 1,700%

According to Broadcom, on June 9, the company expanded security investment in the Spring and Java ecosystem, releasing the largest set of Spring security updates in the framework's 23-year history. Broadcom said monthly security advisories reported by the Spring community rose more than 1,700% from March to April 2026 as AI tools accelerate vulnerability discovery. The company's Tanzu Spring enterprise subscription now includes day-zero CVE-only patch releases through its Spring Enterprise Repository before patches are released to open source, providing customers verifiable software supply chain protections.
