Citi raised its year-end forecast for the S&P 500 to 8,100 on Monday, implying almost 10% upside from current levels. Global stock markets recovered on Tuesday from a technology-driven sell-off, with U.S. Nasdaq 100 futures adding 0.7% and South Korea's Kospi index jumping over 8% following two days of losses. According to Citi analysts, positioning in U.S. equity markets was "incrementally healthier" after the recent decline, though they warned that "72% of Nasdaq longs still in profit" and extreme positioning size leaves markets vulnerable to downside risks if tech earnings disappoint.
