ERC-7943, the Universal Real-World Asset (uRWA) standard, has now reached Final status within Ethereum's standards process, with its specification frozen and ready for production adoption across Ethereum and EVM-compatible networks. The standard defines a vendor-neutral interface for tokenizing real-world assets, enabling institutions to deploy regulated assets across jurisdictions without depending on a single compliance provider.
Early adoption is underway. The Capital Markets and Technology Association (CMTA) has integrated ERC-7943 into CMTAT, its open-source tokenization framework. Chainlink demonstrated compatibility through a public pull request tied to its Asset Compliance Engine (ACE). Brickken plans to integrate the standard into upcoming institutional infrastructure upgrades. The coalition supporting ERC-7943 now spans 12 organizations including issuance platforms, infrastructure providers, and exchanges.
