Gate spot WebSocket simple binary encoding (SBE) functionality has been deployed in a simulated trading environment, allowing developers to test in advance

Gate News reports that, according to Gate’s official announcement, the spot WebSocket simple binary encoding (SBE) data push feature has been officially launched in the paper trading environment.

SBE is a high-performance binary serialization format. Compared with the traditional JSON format, it has lower decoding latency and a smaller message payload, which can effectively improve the efficiency of processing market data—especially in latency-sensitive high-frequency trading scenarios.

This feature is currently available only in the paper trading environment; it is not yet available in the live trading environment. The live launch time is to be confirmed. Gate will send out a notification in advance before the official rollout.
