Gold Prices Slump in Shenzhen Market, Retail Sales Plunge From 2 kg Daily to 'Window Shopping' on June 9

According to Jin10, Shenzhen water贝 (Shuibei) gold merchants reported on June 9 that plummeting gold prices have dramatically reduced consumer purchasing. When prices were rising, merchants sold approximately 2 kilograms daily with sales reaching around 2 million yuan, but with recent price declines, many customers are "browsing without buying." Some vendors have reportedly liquidated gold inventory and switched businesses.
