According to TrendForce, a Taiwan-based market research firm, SpaceX's upcoming initial public offering could boost the global satellite industry output to $447 billion by 2027, representing annual growth of approximately 14%. The momentum from the listing is expected to drive expansion across satellite broadband, direct-to-cell connectivity, AI space computing, and space-based solar power sectors.
Suppliers of antenna modules, radio frequency front-end modules, printed circuit boards, and beamforming integrated circuits could benefit from SpaceX's push into direct-to-cell services and orbital computing. Additionally, makers of solar cells, gallium arsenide and gallium nitride materials, high-temperature alloys, titanium alloys, and industrial gases may gain from the expansion. Starlink's direct-to-cell service is now available, while SpaceX has indicated orbital data centers could begin as early as 2028, pending regulatory approvals for larger satellite constellations.
