USDA Reports Soybean and Corn Conditions Below Expectations as of June 7

According to the USDA weekly crop progress report released Tuesday as of June 7, U.S. soybean conditions are lagging market forecasts. Soybean good-to-excellent rating stood at 65%, below the 68% market expectation and matching prior year levels. Planting progress reached 92%, slightly below the 93% forecast. U.S. corn also underperformed, with good-to-excellent conditions at 67% versus 69% expected, though planting rate hit 97% as anticipated. Emergence rates for both crops improved week-over-week, with soybeans at 79% and corn at 86%.
