For ordinary Chinese families with some financial means, if your child has average aptitude but is sensible, hardworking, and willing to study, skip getting caught up in chaotic majors. Instead, learn some skilled trade, go abroad, and bring that skill to Western countries—you can live with dignity and respect.

Accept that the vast majority of people in this world are ordinary. Those making millions or even tens of millions annually in Silicon Valley are exceedingly rare, but ordinary skilled workers live quite well in Western countries too.
