My first experience trading US stocks on Gate during my initial foray into the crypto world

#Gate officially launches stock trading

It's quite interesting to say, as a seasoned crypto enthusiast who has been playing in the space for years, my first time buying US stocks was actually completed on Gate. I had only been circling within the crypto community and never even gone through the process of opening a US stock account before. When I saw Gate launching US stock trading, I thought since I was already familiar with the platform, why not give it a try.

As a crypto user, the biggest feeling I have is "smoothness." Previously, transferring funds, viewing charts, and placing orders in crypto all followed a familiar process. This time, buying US stocks on Gate was completely barrier-free, no need to use a VPN, and no complicated overseas account setup. I could operate directly with my existing account. For a complete beginner like me, the user-friendliness was immediately top-notch.

My first order was for NVIDIA NVDA, and the reason was simple: crypto-related AI tokens have already gone through a round of hype, and I’ve felt the heat around AI computing power. NVIDIA, as a leader in AI chips, had only been something I saw fluctuate in the news. Now I finally had the chance to buy a share myself. When placing the order, seeing the order types and market buy options similar to crypto trading, I felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity—nothing as tense as I had imagined.

After buying, I looked at the holdings interface for a while. The feeling was quite strange—previously, the coins I bought would fluctuate by dozens of points, and my heartbeat would sync with the candlestick charts; now holding US stocks, I felt the rhythm slow down. I didn’t need to constantly watch the market; occasionally glancing at the trend, my mindset became much more peaceful.

For a crypto-to-US stock newbie like me, the biggest significance of Gate’s US stock trading is that it breaks down the barriers between the two worlds. No need to switch between multiple platforms, no need to tinker with unfamiliar procedures. In a familiar interface, I could get a feel for US stocks. Whether I want to hold some popular stocks like NVIDIA or Tesla long-term, or just want to experience the rhythm of US stock trading, this is a very friendly opportunity for crypto users to dip their toes in.

Of course, this first experience is just the beginning. Later, I plan to slowly study the sector logic of US stocks. After all, the ups and downs in crypto are often linked to tech stocks in the US market. Having an additional perspective to view the market is never a bad thing.
