Objective
This guide will show you how to configure the GateClaw(Blue Lobster) Telegram connector on Gate Web.
Steps
Step 1: Check Connector Status
On the [GateClaw] page, click [Connections]. The interface displays currently configured connectors and their status.
Step 2: Configure Telegram
On the [GateClaw] - [Connections] page, select [Telegram]. The Telegram configuration page will appear, requiring you to enter Bot Token (you can proceed to the next step).
Step 3: Get Bot Token
Perform operations in your [Telegram] to get your Telegram Bot Token.
- Find BotFather in your Telegram Chats, click to start a conversation, enter
/newbotin the chat page and send - BotFather will ask you to customize the bot name. You can enter a custom name and send
- BotFather will ask you to customize a bot username (must end with "bot"). You can enter a custom name and send
- After the name check passes, BotFather will reply that the bot creation is complete and return information including the bot's HTTP API (i.e., Bot Token, which you can copy and save)
Step 4: Complete Telegram Configuration
Return to the [GateClaw] - [Connections] - [Telegram] configuration page. Enter the Bot Token you copied, save it, and wait for configuration to complete.
Step 5: Get Bot Pairing Code
In your [Telegram] BotFather conversation window, click the new bot you created to start a conversation. Enter/startin the chat page. The new bot will reply with its user ID (i.e., chat ID) and pairing code. Copy the user ID and pairing code.
Step 6: Complete Bot Pairing
Return to the [GateClaw] conversation window and enter:openclaw pairing approve telegram pairing code(chat ID can be added here, or can be configured and saved through the Telegram configuration function). GateClaw will reply that pairing is successful.
Step 7: Telegram Conversation
In your [Telegram] bot conversation window, you can enter: "Introduce yourself". Your dedicated GateClaw Bot will reply that it has just come online. You can give it a name and define identity characteristics through natural language.

Q1: What is BotFather?
A: BotFather is Telegram's official Bot management tool, used to create and manage Telegram Bots.
Q2: What's the difference between Bot Token and pairing code?
A: Bot Token is used for Bot authentication, while the pairing code is used to pair your Telegram account with GateClaw.
Q3: What should I do if pairing fails?
A: Please ensure the pairing code and chat ID are entered correctly, and the pairing code has not expired. If the problem persists, please get a new pairing code.
Q4: Can I give the Bot a custom name?
A: Yes. After successful pairing, you can tell the Bot your desired name and identity characteristics through natural language.
Q5: How do I find the Bot after creation?
A: Enter the Bot username you created (must end with "bot") in the Telegram search box, and you can find and start a conversation with it.
