10,000 AI Employees Accumulated $20M+ in Wealth Over Past 5 Years, Widening Silicon Valley Wealth Gap

According to Menlo Ventures partner Deedy Das in a statement today, approximately 10,000 core AI employees from OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, and Nvidia have accumulated over $20 million in wealth over the past five years. This wealth concentration has exacerbated Silicon Valley income inequality, with traditional software engineers earning $500,000 annually finding themselves unable to bridge the wealth gap.
