Berkshire CEO: Large-Scale Data Center Construction Creating Major Growth Opportunities for Utilities

According to CEO Greg Abel at Berkshire Hathaway’s annual shareholder meeting on May 3, large-scale data center construction and resulting electricity demand are creating significant growth opportunities for utility companies. Abel stated the company maintains a cautious approach to AI deployment, using the technology only when it generates incremental value for the business. “AI must add incremental value to our business. We will not use AI for the sake of AI,” he said.
