According to Greeks.live, on May 1, 23,000 Bitcoin options with a notional value of $17.4 billion expire today, with a Put Call Ratio of 1.13 and a maximum pain point of $76,000. Additionally, 175,000 Ethereum options worth $4 billion are set to expire, with a Put Call Ratio of 0.94 and a maximum pain point of $2,325.

Implied volatility declined significantly across major tenors, with Bitcoin IV breaking below 40% and Ethereum’s short-term IV falling below 50%, according to Greeks.live analyst Adam. The decline reflects reduced realized volatility and margin release from monthly expiries.
