Bitcoin Holder Recovers 5 BTC After 11 Years Using Anthropic's Claude AI

According to X posts by user cprkrn, he recently recovered 5 BTC from a wallet that had been inaccessible for over 11 years with assistance from Anthropic’s Claude AI. The recovered Bitcoin was worth approximately $400,000 at the time, based on a BTC price near $79,622. The user uploaded old college computer files and wallet-related data to Claude, and the AI identified an encrypted wallet backup file. Claude then helped review the recovery workflow using btcrecover, an open-source password recovery tool, by analyzing decryption processes and matching the information against an old mnemonic and password found in the user’s college notebook. The wallet had been locked after the user changed his Blockchain.com password years ago and subsequently lost access to the correct credentials.
