According to Pandaily, ByteDance is preparing to launch Seedance 2.1, an updated AI video generation model with 20% higher quality than the current 2.0 version, announced on May 20. The improvement stems from enhanced temporal consistency across frames and improved physical simulation in scene generation, incorporating feedback from hundreds of thousands of Seedance 2.0 users. The company plans to integrate Seedance 2.1 into its content creation tools, including the CapCut video editor. Seedance commands over 80% of AI video generation compute consumption by daily average usage, followed by Kuaishou's Kling at 14%, Wanxiang 2.7 at 4%, and HappyHorse below 1%.
