According to Jin10, on May 14 at 6 p.m., China’s National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters launched a Level 4 emergency flood response for Guangdong and Guizhou. Starting from May 15, central and eastern China will experience a major rainfall process with wide coverage, long duration, and localized heavy intensity, potentially accompanied by severe convective weather including torrential downpours. The regions face risks of river flooding, landslides, and urban waterlogging.
