According to Foreign Ministry spokesman Mao Ning on May 28, China's embassy in the United States announced implementation of rare earth export controls based on domestic regulations. The move comes ahead of the previously agreed pause period, which was set to last until November 10, 2026. Mao Ning stated that both nations should jointly implement the consensus reached by the two countries' leaders.
