China's MIIT Implements 'AI+Manufacturing' Initiative, Expands New Energy Vehicle and Aerospace Industries

On May 19, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held an employment promotion meeting chaired by Minister Li Lecheng. The ministry emphasized implementing the ‘AI+Manufacturing’ special action and advancing manufacturing industry development. Key focus areas include expanding emerging sectors such as intelligent connected new energy vehicles, high-end equipment, and aerospace, while maintaining employment in traditional industries including light industry and textiles.
