DAXA Unveils Standard to Prevent API Key Lending Abuse on May 28

According to the Digital Asset Exchange Association (DAXA), on May 28, the organization unveiled a standard to prevent improper API key lending used for market manipulation and unfair trading. The standard framework applies tiered enforcement measures—including enhanced monitoring, warnings, re-authentication requirements, and forced API key expiration—when suspicious lending activity is detected. Additionally, DAXA member exchanges are implementing whitelist IP systems, allowing API access only from user-registered IP addresses. DAXA Vice Chairman Kim Jae-jin stated the initiative aims to block unfair trading at the source and reaffirmed the association's commitment to user protection amid evolving threats.
