According to Cointelegraph, Elon Musk agreed to pay $1.5 million to settle U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) allegations regarding his failure to properly disclose his increasing Twitter stake in 2022. Musk did not admit to the allegations. The SEC had charged him with failing to timely disclose that his shareholding exceeded 5 percent during his acquisition of Twitter shares in 2022.
