Major European equity indexes closed mixed on May 29 (Friday). Italy's FTSE MIB led gains with a 0.40% rise, adding 199.18 points to close at 50,024.50, while Spain's IBEX 35 gained 0.37% (up 67.67 points to 18,366.97). The UK's FTSE 100 declined 0.20% (down 20.62 points to 10,405.34), and France's CAC 40 fell 0.07% (down 5.53 points to 8,183.34). Germany's DAX 30 rose slightly by 0.02% (up 5.74 points to 25,108.35), while the broader Stoxx 50 index dropped 0.12% (down 7.06 points to 6,048.05).
