Global Non-Energy Shipping Rebounds Sharply in May, Recovers from 13% Below Normal to 4%

GateNews
According to a UBS report released on May 22, global non-energy shipping showed strong recovery in May after weakness in March and April. Non-energy shipping had fallen 13% below its 12-month average in March-April but rebounded to only 4% below normal levels by May. However, significant regional disparities persist: the Gulf region remains approximately 83% below normal, while Asia has recovered to slightly above normal after declining 10% in April.
