Iran and US Have Not Reached Consensus on Hormuz Strait Issues, Says Security Official

According to Iran's Supreme National Security Council deputy secretary Ali Bagheri (reported by Iranian media on May 27), Iran and the US have not reached consensus on Hormuz Strait-related matters. Bagheri stated that Iran is currently consulting with Oman on a new mechanism for vessel passage through the strait, while indirect contacts between Iran and the US continue.
