GateNews

According to Jin10, Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi confirmed on May 16 that Tehran has held talks with Russia regarding a proposal to store concentrated uranium. Concurrently, an Israeli official stated that Israel is preparing to resume military operations against Iran, marking a potential escalation in regional tensions.

U.S. President Trump stated that Iran’s proposed 20-year pause on uranium enrichment is insufficient, suggesting potential action if Washington does not obtain Iran’s cooperation on nuclear matters. Separately, Iran’s Foreign Ministry indicated that negotiations on uranium materials have been postponed to maintain space for diplomacy, though trust with the U.S. remains low.
