Iran Deputy FM Rejects France, UK Military Deployments in Strait of Hormuz on May 10

According to Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Garibabadie, any foreign military deployment in the Red Sea and Strait of Hormuz under the guise of protecting shipping “amounts to escalating the crisis and militarizing this critical waterway,” he said on May 10 via social media. Iran alone can guarantee the strait’s security and will not allow any country’s interference, he added.
