In Japan, SoftBank Group climbed 19.85% following news of OpenAI and SB Energy IPOs, while chip makers Kioxia rose 8.7%, Socionext gained 18.9%, and Ibiden increased 14.3%. In South Korea, Samsung Electronics advanced 8.5%, SK Hynix jumped 11.1%, and LG Electronics surged 29.83% to hit its daily limit, with other semiconductor players Jishu Semiconductor and Hanmi Semiconductor gaining 24% and 15% respectively.
