South Korea-based KB Financial Group signed a strategic partnership agreement with Pantera Capital on April 28 in Seoul. Pantera Capital, a U.S.-based blockchain venture capital and hedge fund firm founded in 2003, manages approximately $5.2 billion in assets and launched the first Bitcoin-focused investment fund in the United States in 2013. According to the companies, the collaboration aims to accelerate KB Financial’s blockchain-focused financial services while leveraging Pantera’s expertise in digital asset investments and infrastructure development. The partnership reflects KB Financial’s broader expansion into blockchain and digital finance initiatives.
