Moomoo has expanded its cryptocurrency trading services to Texas and introduced direct crypto deposit and withdrawal capabilities for U.S. users, as investment platforms push toward unified multi-asset ecosystems combining traditional finance with blockchain-based infrastructure. Texas-based users can now trade 52 cryptocurrencies with commission-free pricing and transaction fees starting at 0.49%, adding Texas to a growing list of supported states that includes California, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. The company also launched a Direct Crypto Deposit & Withdraw feature enabling users to transfer supported digital assets between external Web3 wallets and their moomoo accounts, allowing investors to move assets on-chain while accessing equities, options, and other financial products through the same platform.
The expansion reflects a wider trend across brokerage and fintech firms seeking to merge crypto services with traditional investing products rather than treating digital assets as isolated offerings. Trading platforms increasingly shifted toward "financial super app" models designed to keep users inside a single ecosystem covering stocks, options, ETFs, crypto, payments, retirement products, and cash management services.
Albi Mema, Director of Crypto Operations at moomoo U.S., stated: "We're actively expanding access to crypto trading across the U.S. while continuing to build additional features that further enhance the overall investing experience for our users. The expansion of our crypto trading capabilities to Texas along with the introduction of direct crypto transfers reflects our commitment to meeting investors where they are, whether in traditional markets or Web3, by providing a true one-stop destination where investors can seamlessly trade a diverse range of assets within a unified, secure and compliant platform."
The addition of direct crypto transfers represents a notable operational step because many retail-focused brokerages historically limited users to internal crypto exposure without allowing on-chain movement of assets. By enabling transfers between external wallets and platform accounts, moomoo moves closer to functionality traditionally associated with crypto-native exchanges.
Moomoo stated that cryptocurrencies transferred into the platform can be converted into fiat currency and deployed across broader investment offerings. Users can currently access more than 50 cryptocurrencies in the United States, including MON and BNB. The platform also supports integrations with dozens of crypto wallets and exchanges.
Texas has emerged as one of the most important U.S. markets for cryptocurrency companies over recent years, attracting crypto miners, infrastructure firms, and digital asset businesses due to its energy market, business environment, and political support for blockchain-related industries. Retail investor demand remains significant, providing brokerages and fintech firms access to one of the country's largest populations alongside a growing community of crypto-active users.
To support adoption in Texas, moomoo launched a limited-time rewards program for crypto traders that includes Bitcoin incentives tied to trading activity thresholds.
Moomoo's latest expansion arrives during a period of heightened competition among retail investing platforms in the United States. Firms including Robinhood, Coinbase, Kraken, Webull, and traditional brokerages continue adding crypto-related products as digital assets become more integrated into mainstream investing infrastructure.
Companies increasingly compete through ecosystem depth rather than pricing alone. Features such as wallet connectivity, tokenized assets, retirement integrations, and multi-asset portfolio management are becoming larger competitive differentiators. Moomoo also highlighted earlier efforts tied to tokenized equity offerings, an area gaining traction among financial firms exploring blockchain-based market infrastructure.
Moomoo stated that it plans to continue expanding crypto functionality and geographic coverage across the United States as demand for integrated digital asset services grows among retail investors.
