Nvidia Invests $500M in Corning for US Fiber-Optic Expansion

According to Bloomberg, Nvidia bought $500 million in Corning share rights earlier in 2026 to expand US fiber-optic supply for AI data centers. The investment includes rights to 3 million shares and options to purchase up to 15 million additional shares at $180 per share.

Corning plans to raise US fiber production capacity by more than 50% and build three advanced manufacturing facilities in North Carolina and Texas, creating over 3,000 jobs. Corning shares rose 21% to a record $195.81, while Nvidia shares gained 2%.
