Pfizer's Cresemba Gets NMPA Approval for Pediatric Indications, 200mg Injection and 100mg Capsule

According to Pfizer China, the China National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has approved new pediatric indications for Cresemba (isavuconazole). The 200mg injection formulation was approved for treating invasive aspergillosis (IA) and invasive mucormycosis (IM) in children aged 1 year and older. The 100mg oral capsule formulation was approved for treating IA and IM in children aged 6 years and older weighing at least 32 kilograms. These approvals expand Cresemba's coverage across all age groups from children to adults.
