Samsung SDS Expands Google Cloud Partnership to Serve Regulated Sectors with AI and Security Services

Gate News message, April 23 — Samsung SDS expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to deliver AI, cloud computing, and security services to regulated industries including government and financial services.

The companies will deploy Google Distributed Cloud for customers requiring data localization, low latency, and resilient infrastructure. Samsung SDS plans to integrate Gemini Enterprise into its Samsung Cloud Platform for enterprise AI capabilities, while combining Google Cloud Platform with Samsung SDS' managed services. The partnership also includes integration of Google's Wiz security platform with Samsung SDS' security operations for threat detection and response.

The expansion builds on Samsung SDS' growing cloud business, which posted 15.4% revenue growth in 2025 to reach 2.7 trillion won (approximately $1.9 billion USD), driven largely by work with financial institutions and government agencies. In December 2025, Samsung SDS signed a ChatGPT Enterprise reseller partnership with OpenAI, described as the first such agreement among Korean companies. Since November 2025, Samsung SDS has been providing pilot services of its workplace collaboration and AI assistant tools to three government organizations.
