According to Beating, hedge fund Darsana Capital Partners is positioned to realize over $10 billion in unrealized gains as SpaceX prepares for an IPO next month at a valuation exceeding $1.5 trillion. SpaceX stock currently represents nearly 60% of Darsana's approximately $15 billion in assets under management, with a current position value of $8.5 billion. The fund first invested in SpaceX in 2019 at a $30 billion valuation and has continuously added to its stake without reducing positions. Peer D1 Capital Partners has similarly benefited, accumulating approximately $9 billion in unrealized gains on a $600 million cumulative investment in SpaceX.
