According to JPMorgan Chase analysts, Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) may purchase approximately $30 billion in Bitcoin this year if its current acquisition pace continues. The company has already added 145,834 BTC worth about $11 billion year-to-date. Strategy’s total Bitcoin holdings now stand at 818,334 BTC, valued at over $65 billion. Analysts noted the company accelerated purchases in April, with buying concentrated during periods when Bitcoin traded below Strategy’s roughly $75,000 average cost basis. The projected 2026 spending significantly exceeds the approximately $22 billion annually spent in 2024 and 2025. Strategy’s stock currently trades at a 26% premium to net asset value, providing favorable conditions for continued Bitcoin acquisition through equity and debt financing.
