Tether Buys 6+ Tons of Gold in Q1, Reserves Hit $19.8 Billion

According to its quarterly report, Tether Holdings SA purchased more than six tons of gold in the first three months of 2026, bringing its total bullion reserves to $19.8 billion at the end of March. The reserves equate to approximately 132 tons of gold based on spot prices, making Tether the largest known holder of bullion outside of banks and nation states.
