According to Xi'an Public Security Bureau Traffic Management Detachment, on May 22 at 6:40 p.m., a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Yanxiang Road and Xiying Road, leaving 7 people injured with varying degrees of severity. The incident involved 3 motor vehicles and 3 non-motor vehicles. Driver Liu, a 62-year-old woman, was operating a sedan when she lost control due to improper operation, colliding with roadside barriers, vehicles, and pedestrians. Preliminary investigation ruled out drunk driving and drug impairment. The injured have been transported to medical facilities for treatment.
