US President Donald Trump is scheduled for a routine medical and dental check-up at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center on May 26, as scrutiny of his health intensifies ahead of his 80th birthday next month. The White House announced on May 11 that the visit would include "routine annual dental and medical assessments as part of his regular preventive healthcare." White House physician Dr Sean Barbabella has stated Trump is in "excellent health" and "fully fit" to serve.
Meanwhile, on-going concerns about Trump's age and fitness have continued. Earlier this month, a group of 30 psychiatrists and doctors published a statement in the British Medical Journal describing Trump as "mentally unfit," citing alleged "deterioration in cognitive functioning" and "impaired judgment," according to reports.
