UK Plans to Attract 99 Billion Pounds in Australian Pension Investment by 2035

According to Financial Times, the UK government announced a plan on May 11 to attract 99 billion pounds of overseas pension investment into UK priority projects by 2035. A new agency called the “Supers Unit,” led by the Investment Office, will strengthen cooperation and streamline Australian pension fund investments in growth sectors including infrastructure, real estate, and private markets. Australian pension funds have already invested approximately 41 billion pounds in the UK as of mid-2025.
