GateNews

According to the UN World Meteorological Organization, on May 28, a report released by the UK Met Office predicts there is a significant likelihood that global warming could surpass the 1.5°C threshold within five years, exceeding the key target set in the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement.

The report forecasts 2027 may set another temperature record, with an 86% probability that at least one year between 2026 and 2030 will surpass 2024's record as the hottest year on record. Global average temperatures are expected to remain at or near record highs through the end of this decade.
