U.S. April Nonfarm Payrolls Rise to 115,000, Beating 62,000 Forecast

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, April nonfarm payrolls increased by 115,000, significantly exceeding the forecast of 62,000. Healthcare, transportation, warehousing, and retail sectors added jobs, while federal government employment continued to decline. The prior month’s figure was revised upward to 185,000 from 178,000.
