U.S. Dollar Index Rises 0.04% to 99.206 on May 27

The U.S. Dollar Index rose 0.04% on May 27, closing at 99.206 in currency market trading. Against the six major currencies, the dollar strengthened against the Japanese yen to 159.51 (from 159.33), the Swiss franc to 0.7868 (from 0.7857), and the Canadian dollar to 1.3835 (from 1.3813), while weakening against the British pound at 1.3430 (from 1.3445) and Swedish krona at 9.2972 (from 9.3198). The euro held steady at 1.1629 per dollar.
