U.S. Treasury Futures: Speculators Cut 2-Year Shorts by 41,775 Contracts, Boost 10-Year Shorts by 66,885 for Week Ended May 19

According to CFTC data, as of the week ended May 19, speculators reduced net short positions in CBOT 2-year Treasury futures by 41,775 contracts to 1,560,837, while simultaneously increasing 10-year Treasury futures net shorts by 66,885 contracts to 848,052. Ultra-long Treasury futures net short positions grew by 15,470 contracts to 254,464, and 5-year Treasury futures net shorts declined by 11,629 contracts to 1,350,516.
