White House Briefs AI Companies on Model Review Executive Order on May 19

The White House National Cyber Director's Office briefed artificial intelligence companies on a planned executive order on May 19, according to reports. The order would authorize intelligence agencies and other government agencies to review advanced AI models before their release. Participating companies included OpenAI, Anthropic, and Reflection AI. The executive order is expected to be signed as early as May 21.
