Anthropic's $900B Valuation Surpasses OpenAI's $730B as Dresser Expands Sales Authority

According to Beating monitoring, this week Anthropic completed a new funding round at a $900 billion valuation, surpassing OpenAI's current $730 billion valuation for the first time. Meanwhile, OpenAI Chief Revenue Officer Denise Dresser has expanded her authority by taking over partner and advertising deal negotiations from former COO Brad Lightcap, as part of an aggressive enterprise market push half a year after joining the company in December.

Dresser is assembling a large sales team that includes former Slack Chief Customer Officer Peter Doolan (appointed Global AI Transformation Lead in April), former ServiceNow CMO and Salesforce SVP Colin Fleming (hired this month as Chief Marketing Officer of Commercial Business), and at least six other senior sales and channel executives. OpenAI aims to increase enterprise revenue's share of total revenue from 40% at year-start to 50% by end of 2026, compared to Anthropic's 80%+ enterprise revenue concentration.
