According to local reports, in April, the investigation into Libra token flows stalled as Argentina's Public Prosecution lacks required software tools to analyze $4.78 million in wallet movements tracked between February 3 and 13. Eduardo Taiano, the public prosecutor handling the case, requested the Specialized Cybercrime Prosecutor's Office (UFECI) to deepen the probe, but UFECI responded that its software licenses had expired and it lacked the means to fulfill the request.
A group of deputies sent a letter to Eduardo Casal, Argentina's Attorney General, requesting funds to resume the investigation. Maximiliano Ferraro, President of the former Libra Congressional Commission, stated it was "unacceptable" for the judicial investigation to be stalled due to lack of resources, given the possible involvement of President Javier Milei.
