GateNews
According to Lucas, a former Bankless team member, the organization laid off the majority of its staff on May 21 without public announcement or assistance in finding new positions for departing employees. Co-founder Ryan Sean Adams announced the shift represents the end of Bankless' first era and the beginning of its second phase. Adams stated he will step back from day-to-day operations to support co-founder David Hoffman in leading the project forward, though he will continue appearing on the weekly podcast. Hoffman will assume primary direction of the platform.
