According to Anthony Pompliano, chairman of ProCap Financial, on June 27, the executive stated that artificial general intelligence (AGI) is approaching, driven by AI systems now surpassing human capabilities and self-improving at an unprecedented pace. Pompliano also addressed inflation expectations, noting that the 9% inflation rate should not be viewed as a structural norm; while tariffs and geopolitical tensions could create inflationary pressures, such extreme levels remain historically rare and unlikely to persist long-term.
