According to Bank of America strategist Michael Hartnett, consumer stocks, REITs, European equities, Bitcoin, gold, and emerging market currencies stand to benefit most from a potential U.S.-Iran peace deal. In his Flow Show report released Friday (June 12), Hartnett outlined the "contrarian peace beneficiaries" amid mounting market confidence in a ceasefire. The strategist highlighted that REITs (exemplified by the Vanguard Real Estate ETF, VNQ, up 9% year-to-date) and consumer stocks (SPDR Consumer Discretionary ETF, XLY, up over 10% from April lows) have already rallied. Bitcoin and gold, which have fallen 27% and 2% respectively in 2026, show signs of oversold conditions and reflect deleveraging, positioning them for potential rebounds.
