CBOT Corn Falls 1.9% on Friday as Oil Drops 2% Following U.S.-Iran Ceasefire

According to Jin10 Futures, CBOT corn futures fell 1.9% on Friday, tracking a 2% decline in crude oil prices following reports that the U.S. and Iran had reached a ceasefire agreement.

U.S. Department of Agriculture export sales data showed that for the week ending May 21, 2026, net corn sales for the 2025/26 marketing year totaled 1,015,300 tonnes, down 52% from the previous week and 30% below the four-week average. New crop sales for 2026/27 reached 618,600 tonnes, compared to 281,400 tonnes a week earlier.
