China Activates Level-4 Flood Emergency Response for Hubei and Chongqing on May 23

According to Xinhua News Agency, China's National Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters activated Level-4 flood emergency response for Hubei and Chongqing on May 23 at 3 PM, while maintaining an existing Level-4 response for Hunan. A working group was dispatched to Hubei to assist in flood prevention efforts amid a new round of heavy rainfall forecast through May 27.
